Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.

Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery. 
Schedule transportation and resolve shipping or delivery issues. 
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and maintain accurate documentation. 
Identify and implement process improvements to optimize logistics operations. 
Train, and support logistics staff to meet performance goals. 
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and evaluate their performance. 
Communicate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations. 
Track and analyze logistics KPIs and prepare performance reports. 
Develop and implement risk management and contingency plans for disruptions. 

High school diploma and 2+ years of experience. 
Exposure to international shipping regulations. 
High degree of knowledge of freight forwarding and customs regulations. 
International Air Transportation Association, (IATA) / International Maritime Dangerous Good (IMDG) knowledge. 
Strong IT knowledge, comfortable working with Windows. 
Experience working with a fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system. 
Basic understanding of necessary documentation for international shipping. 
A can-do attitude, open to learning with good organizational skills. 
Excellent communication skills and able to build working relationships.  
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other heavy manufacturing. 
Experience with ERP Systems and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). 
Prior experience in high-paced, rapid growth environment. 
Holds an active dangerous goods certification. 
Coordinating shipments across all modes of transportation: air, ocean, trucking, parcel/small pack. 
Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.  
Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant including specialized training and certifications.
