Work Location: This role is based out of our Ho Chi Minh Office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. Design, develop, and deploy new features for Axon’s camera systems in in a secure, privacy preserving way.
Coordinate across teams on a breadth of platforms including desktop, mobile applications, and backend services.
Set a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews.
Participate in technical issues troubleshooting and solving of the team.
Resolve ambiguity in product requirements potentially resolve conflicting requirements.
Mentor and coach junior engineers.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or an equivalent technical field.
6+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.
Proficiency in C/C++, Golang, and other relevant programming languages.
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, runtime analysis, object-oriented design, and code quality verification.
Experience with writing unit test, integration and/or system level tests
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in embedded software development.
Proven experience with Embedded Linux development.
Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, TLS/SSL, etc.) with hands-on experience in WiFi, LTE, and GPS technologies.
Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity), source code repositories (e.g., Git), and Jira.
Knowledge of security in computing and best practices.
Experience with Yocto and embedded Linux-based build systems.
Knowledge of Cloud services
Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodology.
