About the Job

We're on a mission to make good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people live with obesity worldwide, driving preventable chronic conditions. We're here to build better long-term care.

Eucalyptus is now part of Hims & Hers, the global leader in personalised health and wellness.

Our published clinical research shows that our combined clin...

Required Skills & Abilities

The best person for this role has a rare mix. You make dense, complex medical information simple and clear, without dumbing it down or losing what matters. You are doing this for people at a vulnerable moment, so empathy and emotional intelligence are critical. You read the emotion in a health decision and meet people where they are, with warmth and without judgement. And you are deeply curious about health. You do not need to arrive knowing the conditions we treat, only the drive to understand them. You pair all of that with sharp acquisition craft and the discipline to test. You hold the human and the commercial in the same hand.
Problem definition. You shape the problem, not just the pixels. You use data and research to work out which surface matters most and which experiment is worth running, then package it into something the team can build. The signal is evidence you helped define the right test, not just made the variant.
Visual craft. Non-negotiable. Typography, spacing, colour, motion and micro-interactions, used with intent, not decoration. This role also carries the interstitial illustration in the quiz and consult flow, so you make that visual work yourself. Weak craft is a no, whatever the conversion talk.
Accessibility. You design inclusively without being asked. You know why the standard exists, not just what it says, and it shows in judgement calls a checklist cannot make.
Systems thinking. You think in modules, not single pages. You compose from the design system's primitives, own the signature, conversion-bearing components built on top, and build page templates that assemble in different ways to serve different needs. Modularity is your default and it keeps you fast, but you build bespoke, ground-up pages when a high-profile moment deserves the craft. You extend the system rather than reinvent it, and you keep a clean line between the atomic layer the system owns and the bespoke pieces you own. Infrastructure compounds. Single screens do not.
Product and commercial sense. You reason in conversion rate, cost per acquisition and funnel drop-off. You know which page matters most to the business and why, and you defend a design decision in the language of the metric it moves. Craft in isolation moves nothing.
Communication. Clear, specific, opinionated. You say what you decided and why, and you are just as clear on what you chose not to do and why.
Working in the open. You share early and often, and you use critique to sharpen the work. You lift the quality of every review you join.
LLMs are already embedded in your workflow. You use them to widen the range of variants you can test and to tighten the build-measure-learn loop.
You prototype in tools like Claude Code and Cursor to test ideas in real code, not just mock them up.
The signal is workflow, not tool count. Judgement spent where it counts.
We expect you to work end to end, from problem definition and research to information architecture and UX writing.
Validation and experimentation is the core of the role. You design A/B tests, size them, and read them honestly.
Your own research and usability testing, feeding the next experiment.
Copywriting and UX writing. You write the words that persuade and the words that guide, and both hold up in a regulated market.
Composition from the design system, and ownership of the signature components and templates built on top of it.

Show us work where you took something complex and made it land. A page that told a clear story, held the detail without overwhelming, and helped a real person make a decision. We want the craft on the surface, the words weighted as heavily as the graphics, and evidence you designed with empathy for people at a moment that mattered. Show the outcome too: the number you moved and the testing that got you there. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
Typically 5 to 8 years in product design, with a track record of conversion-focused design and A/B testing on acquisition surfaces.
Patient-first mindset. You put patient outcomes first. Every decision weighs commercial growth against clinical safety and care, and you don't let one erode the other. You understand real health journeys well enough to make them simple, accessible and worth trusting.
Collaborative creation. You work well across product, engineering and clinical, and you know a good idea can come from any of them. You listen to feedback and take it on, using it to make the work better.
Curiosity. You ask why before how. You stay curious about the patient, the problem and the tools you use to solve it, and you're comfortable being a beginner when something new is worth learning.
Typically 5 to 8 years in product design, with a track record of conversion-focused design and A/B testing on acquisition surfaces.
