As a manager, you’ll lead a globally distributed team, develop senior engineers, and create clear ownership across critical infrastructure domains. You’ll work closely with engineering and security leaders across Samsara to build the infrastructure required for the company’s continued growth.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in Canada.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including 2+ years directly managing software or infrastructure engineers.
Experience leading, developing, and raising the performance of an established engineering team.
A strong technical background in production infrastructure, cloud platforms, or distributed systems at scale.
A track record of leading complex technical initiatives and translating strategy into measurable results.
Strong communication, technical judgment, and the ability to create alignment across teams.
Experience leading infrastructure for a large-scale cloud or distributed platform.
Experience with multi-region public cloud, container orchestration, and declarative infrastructure.
Led major modernization, reliability, disaster-recovery, or cloud-efficiency initiatives.
Experience leading globally distributed teams.
Practical experience using AI-enabled tools to improve engineering effectiveness.
The compensation range shown spans approved pay zones for this role. Your primary work location determines the range applicable to you, which may be narrower than the full range displayed.
The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible for an initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff, and ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance, subject to plan terms and conditions. $142,800—$184,800 CAD
